COOPERATION WITH SANDVIK AND OUTOKUMPU
SSY began two strategically important cooperations in 2012 when we had the opportunity of working with Sandvik and Outokumpu. This work has allowed us to build lightweight boats with the new stainless steel, which has unique characteristics against corrosion in saltwater and a surface that protects against marine organisms attaching to the hull without the use of toxic anti-fouling paints. Sandvik and Outokumpu supplies super duplex stainless steel 2507 to us in the thickness and dimensions we require.
COOPERATION WITH ASEA BROWN BOVERI (ABB)
Cooperation between SSY and ABB began in 2014. The cooperation involves developing the future powertrain.
COOPERATION WITH AGA
AGA gas and SSY together developed the welding techniques used to build SSY boats. AGA is also SSY’s international partner for the licensing of other boat manufactures to manufacture according to SSY’s patent.
COOPERATION WITH BUMAX (BUFAB)
Cooperation between SSY and BUMAX began in 2014. The cooperation enables us to choose from the best possible nuts and bolts made of SAF2507, this ensures strong bolting with high endurance.
